TIG welding process (Tungsten Inert Gas), or GTAW welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) according with AWS norms, is a welding method using a Tungsten carbide electrod, protected by inert gas, with or without adding of steel wire. This welding method is mostly used in tube industry to weld stainless steel materials.
